Need a zillion dollars for your startup? ZINO Zillionaire Investment Forum might be a good place to start
Ah, what I wouldn’t do with a zillion dollars. Why I could fund any number of cool startup ideas.
What’s that? What do you mean “zillion” isn’t a real number?
Well, never mind that. A zillion is shooting a bit high anyway, don’t you think? How about we start with something smaller then? Like about $50,000.
Good. Because that’s the prize money you could take home after pitching the ZINO Zillionaire Investment Forum.
Join ZINO Society for our fourth annual ZINO Zillionaire Investment Forum (ZZIF). Meet and hear 28 companies, representing a variety of business sectors, present to an audience of angel investors, venture capitalists and business leaders. Presenting companies and investors connect throughout the day via a walk-around lunch, exhibition space, pre-event VIP dinner and the culminating Awards and Wine Reception.
All presenting companies will be profiled in the September 4th edition of the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Sound interesting? Good. But you’re going to have to act fast. You see, the applications are due on July 31.
I know, I know. I’m sorry. But I just found out about this myself.
Oh. And there’s also a $150 application fee. And there are a few qualifying rounds to be one of the 28 companies that make it to the big stage. But I mean, c’mon. Your stuff? Super cool. So it’s like spending $150 to get $50,000. Well, plus the gas money to get up to Seattle. But still. Who can argue with that logic?
And, yes, again I know. This just serves to remind us that Portland could really use some more events where we can get our cool startups out in front of investors and media. I know. I hear you.
But there is one opportunity like that in our midst. In fact, it’s tonight. Again with the short notice. But if you’re looking to practice that pitch? Tonight would be a good night to do it. Over at NedSpace Old Town.
