WordCamp Portland sells out

WordCamp Portland sells out

Now, as we all know, the Camps are a pretty popular item here in the Portland area. BarCamp Portland, WhereCamp, Digital Journalism Camp… the list goes on and on. And when you combine that campity camp camp popularity with the WordPress fandom that consumes the blogging world of Portland, you’ve got a sure fire recipe for a killer camp.

That’s WordCamp Portland. And that’s why—as promised—it sold out in a little over a week.

That’s right. WordCamp Portland is all full. Now, I tend to think it’s a big deal when our free events around here—like Ignite Portland—sell out, so needless to say, I think it’s an even bigger deal when for-pay events do the same thing.

So if you didn’t get a ticket, you’re out of luck, for now. But buck up, little camper. There’s a waiting list—should some folks decide to drop out.

As buried on the FAQ page (hey, we went it to go to folks who are really looking around for it), we’ll also be giving away a pair of tickets at the August meeting of the Portland WordPress User Group.

  2. If you didn’t get a ticket, we’re also giving away two free tickets at the next Portland WordPress User Group meeting. :-)
