I notice a ton of guys doing this kind of thing on podcasts/vodcasts. It is ok if I am just going to be listening casually, but if I am going to set aside 30mins, it would be nice to have a little more form.

you guys are entertaining, but in my opinion not quite entertaining enough to spend so much time off topic. your signal to noise ration is a bit askew.

I’d love it if you spent 20 minutes outlining a five minute presentation that was tight and cogent instead of 26 minutes of whatever comes to mind. You don’t have to be total talking heads but if you limited the number of times that you were saying “I don’t know where I’m going with this” on camera you would step away from the public access style “let’s just get up here and fill time” and more towards interesting content.

You guys have talent. Just tighten it up.

FWIW I agree with Adam. It’s the national/international stuff that gets to be overkill out there and with so many great things going on locally it seems like there’s more than enough material here at home.

I think you’ve got to stick to the local stuff, even if you’ve covered it in a full post. I’d axe the national/international stuff unless there’s a really clear local angle (i.e., the Omniture acquisition).

Thanks, Adam! What do you think about the mix? Is repeating the local stuff I’ve already covered overkill? Should we focus on more national/international and the local impact?

Just looking to see how we can cut some time out of it. ;)

Nice! Again, I’d somehow missed some of this stuff. I’d prefer a little shorter episodes (I know you’re trying!), but only if you can do it without losing the fun you both bring to the show.
