30 Hour Day: Give and take

[HTML1]

We created 30 Hour Day for two reasons: to give back to the community and to allow the anyone to take our content and use it as they see fit. A little give, a little take.

So it would probably help if we told you how to do that, wouldn’t it? Of course it would.

Giving to 30 Hour Day

All 30 Hour Day donations are handled online through Causes. Why? Causes is backed by Network for Good, a nonprofit that deals with donations for other nonprofits. By using Causes, this ensures that your donation is tax deductible and goes directly to the organization. In fact, you could use Causes every day to raise money for your favorite charities. It makes anyone into a proponent for good.

So, if you have the wherewithal and you’re enjoying the show, please donate to 30 Hour Day’s charities.

Taking 30 Hour Day to your site

Not long after we came up with the concept, we realized that we wanted more people to be able to use our content. More people to get the benefit of the show we were creating. And more people to get involved with what’s possible with the Web.

That’s why we highly encourage anyone—from the blog with 0 hits this month to the site with one million hits per second—to embed the 30 Hour Day livestream in their site.

Use it as you see fit. Entertain your visitors. Slap a donate button for your favorite charity next to it. Add a chat room and promote your site as the premier place to watch 30 Hour Day. It’s all up to you.

So to embed the stream in your site, here’s the code:

Thank you so much for watching!
