Need a new gig? Jama Software seems to be jumping
Okay. I know I usually save these job posts until the end of the week. But man oh man, Jama Software? You know, that Portland startup that builds collaboration tools to help companies build great products?
Well, if you don’t know about Jama, you should. They’re a local success story. And Jama just so happens to have seven open positions right now. Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look.
As an Inside Sales Representative , you’ll sell Jama’s software and services within a designated group of verticals. You will engage Jama’s customers, prepare and present demonstrations of Jama’s solutions, and manage the sale cycles from qualification to close. You should also be comfortable working closely with our product, support, sales and finance teams. You need to be able to tell a good opportunity from a bad one, and like to interact with clients on a daily basis.
For more, see Inside Sales Representative.
As our Technical Account Manager, you’ll have three overlapping responsibilities: account management, project management, and services delivery. You’ll help our customers maximize success through accelerated adoption and productive use of our Web-based requirements management software, Jama Contour. You will also guide pre-sales pilot programs.
For more, see Technical Account Manager.
As our Online Marketing Intern, you’ll immediately make an impact. From campaign creation to results tracking, social media activities to basic site design, you’ll assist the marketing team in all things online. You’ll also manage relationships with media partners and support the sales team with special programs for key accounts.

As our Quality Assurance Intern, you’ll perform a variety of QA tasks related to Contour, our Web-based requirements management software. You’ll also contribute to the team by creating test documentation, scripts, and discussing our quality practices. You’ll also need to love start-ups and be comfortable with limited resources, crazy hours and doing whatever it takes to get things done. This comes with responsibility, which we all thrive on. So if you like to challenge yourself and help people build great products, then this is the job for you.

Slackers need not apply
But before you apply, keep in mind that there are a few ground rules at Jama.
- No slackers allowed. You put customers and team first, or you finish last.
- No stuffy offices. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves.
- Bikes, yes. Flexible schedules, yes. Music, yes. Making excuses or missing deadlines, no.
- We print more t-shirts than brochures. If we can do it on the Web, we do.
