Air Login: Avatron makes your iOS device a portal to your laptop or desktop
While Dropbox has managed to alleviate most file access and file sharing issues, there are always those times when you’ve left a file on your machine that you desperately need. And, usually, the only way to open the file is with software installed on that machine. Until now.
Portland’s Avatron Software has just released Air Login, a tool that lets you access your machine from any iOS device. Kind of like good old desktop sharing or PC Anywhere, but from your iPad or iPhone.
“How many times have you been traveling or mobile and desperately needed to get a critical file back at your desk? Or felt frustrated that all the apps that work on your Mac just don’t function on your mobile? Air Login is our answer to accessing literally ANY file or app back at your Mac and enabling full functionality right there on their iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch,” says Dave Howell , CEO, Avatron Software. “And it’s built to be simple, fast, familiar, and secure. You don’t need to be a geek to use it.”
