Portland’s Elemental Technologies nominated for international awards

It’s always nice to see Portland startups getting recognition. Especially when it’s on the world stage. And such is the case with Portland’s Elemental Technologies, who has been nominated for awards at the IBC—arguably the most important tradeshow of the year for their industry.

This year at IBC, Elemental is shortlisted for a CSI award in the Best Digital Video Processing category and for a ConnectedWorld.TV award in the Best Delivery Technology category. Both nominations recognize the advances Elemental has made in its implementation of HEVC. Award winners will be announced at ceremonies in Amsterdam on September 13 and September 16, respectively.

“This year, Elemental brings the technologies most relevant to the future of video to the forefront at IBC,” said Keith Wymbs, VP of marketing for Elemental. “We have a mature solution set for content programmers and pay TV operators worldwide and we see IBC as the critical stage for showcasing our leadership in the global multiscreen video processing market.”
