Interested in raising capital in Silicon Valley? True Ventures will be in Portland to provide some tips
A few years back, we lucky to have a handful of hardworking Portland startups raising the profile of the startup scene around here, drawing in capital from the Bay Area and elsewhere. One of those early investors who realized the potential around here was True Ventures. Now those startups and True are sharing some tips and tricks.
People took notice when Silicon Valley VC firm True Ventures announced it had invested in Portland tech companies Puppet Labs and Urban Airship. Portland tech startups continue to benefit from this trend as True Ventures grows its portfolio of local investments. If you’re part of Portland’s high-tech business community but need to know how to raise money in Silicon Valley, this event is for you. Join Puneet Agarwal of True Ventures along with Portland CEOs Luke Kanies and Scott Kveton for tips and strategies on raising venture capital in the Valley.
The event, sponsored by the Technology Association of Oregon, will be hosted at Puppet Labs on Friday, November 1, at 10AM. TAO members can attend for $15. General public can attend for $35.
