Silicon Florist

Skills and proficiency in the following applications:
• 3ds Max
• Photoshop
• Headus UV Layout, or equivalent
• After Effects

Primary Responsibilities:
• Determining the technical processes for individual projects with flexibility in compositing and end result in mind.
• Polygonal and spline based modeling (organic and hard surfaces) using 3ds Max
• Environment and character texturing utilizing UV unwrapping and painting techniques
• Building custom shading networks for texturing purposes
• Environment/character lighting and rendering setup utilizing render layers in conjunction with scanline and Mental Ray rendering engines
• Troubleshooting any and all rendering issues that arise
• Troubleshooting software issues that arise
• Maintaining a working knowledge of all software applications and their status on individual workstations.

Secondary Responsibilities:
• Non-character driven animation
• Basic compositing using AE
• IT support with the Creative Lead, when it does not interfere with primary duties
