The Mission

We're looking for a smart, driven programmer. Somebody who is willing to write to the Windows API one week, Linux the next, and then dig into HP-UX to figure out some strange thing. This individual should be comfortable with learning, comfortable with change, and willing to deliver their best always.

The successful candidate will be able to argue, succinctly, passionately and politely. You will be expected to speak up when things are going in a bad way yet be committed when the team chooses a direction.


Position Responsibilities

This key role requires a candidate who understands the value of a good API, the cost of a bad one, and who can differentiate between the "mechanical" and "semantic" parts of same.
We want somebody who can communicate the purpose of an object by its methods, and can implement clearly and directly.
We need a developer who understands concurrency and performance in a real way, can communicate trade-offs and balance competing resources.

Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of attributes, education and experience:
We're looking for a candidate who is strong in C++, good with Java and comfortable with Perl/Ruby/Python
Diverse platform experience with one or more of the following: Windows/Linux/Sun/AIX/HP
5-10 years of software product development experience
BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred
