Ziba is looking for a Design Director to join our Portland, Oregon based Interaction Design (IxD) team. The Design Director will provide inspiring, innovative, and impactful design direction to the interaction design group at Ziba. If you love to envision, concept, design and prototype in the space where consumer behavior, client brand, digital and physical interfaces meet, we’d like to speak to you.

To succeed in this position you must possess:

The ability to innovate and make magic happen.
The entrepreneurial spirit, creative vision, strategic intellect and desire to lead to create and inspire extraordinary designs for our clients.
A deep experience in interface design and interaction strategy with broad experience across communication design, information architecture, customer research and the construction of software and hardware prototypes.
The capability to effectively inspire and enlighten the interaction design group and other creative disciplines at Ziba, continually raising the bar on the quality and relevance of work produced.
A demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide variety of creative professionals, and to remain flexible in a changing environment.
The emotional maturity to guide and represent the creative product while remaining mindful and respectful of the creative director’s point of view and vision.
Excellent communication and presentations skills.
A natural ability to think on your feet, strong initiative and an upbeat attitude.
The right candidate will have at least a BA/BS, or the equivalent experience, plus at least 6-8 years of work experience creating impressive results for clients in the capacity of interaction design.
