Emerge Interactive (http://www.emergeinteractive.com) is a full service Interactive Agency looking for an enthusiastic Flash Developer to join our team. Our creative headquarter is located in the heart of Portland, OR.

The Flash Developer will collaborate with designers and developers in all phases of the creative process from conceptualization and design to development, testing and deployment of top notch Flash experiences. Position is available immediately.

Job responsibilities

• Transform client goals into compelling, usable, media-rich Interactive experiences including website and online advertising projects.
• Animates and Programs Flash Interfaces, Applications and Ad Units; AS2 and AS3 (primarily), OOP comfort a must.
• Contributes own sense of visual integrity, animation timing, flow and UI planning to all projects.
• Consults with Creative team and suggest new technologies that will be incorporated.
• Works with Rich Media vendor platforms to create seamless handoff for trafficking of ad units.
• Write clean, documented, reusable and scalable Actionscript code for deployment on the web and other platforms.

Job requirements

• A strong Actionscript 2 and 3 background, writing classes and collaborating on medium to large scale coding projects. In other words, if you know "a little actionscript," this job probably isn't for you, unfortunately.
• Experience integrating video into online media.
• A general understanding of Rich Media Ad specs, best practices and definitions. Experience with Rich Media vendor templates, practices & API's a huge plus.
• A working knowledge of Photoshop/Fireworks. Illustrator, After Effects and 3D also a plus.
• Flexible schedule to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Experience working in teams in a well-structured and disciplined manner, using test-driven development, version-control and deployment.
