Programmer/Analyst
CTC is seeking an experienced programmer/analyst for its Portland, Oregon office. This position reports to the director of technology, and will also work closely with members of the I.T. team, the performance reporting group and the consulting and research departments.

Key Responsibilities
This position develops database applications, interfaces and data feeds that support CTC’s business processes. The primary job responsibilities include:
• Maintaining and supporting the CTC proprietary investment performance and research applications
• Designing and developing multi-tier applications using C# and SQL using established design patterns within the CTC code framework and test-driven design approach
• Supporting existing code base and reports
• Gathering specifications from users and converting them into workable applications
• Developing interfaces with web-services, internal and external applications and databases

Requirements
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritize workload, to work on multiple projects in tandem and to complete tasks under time pressure when necessary. The candidate must have the flexibility and creativity to work well with staff and react to challenging situations appropriately. Immaculate attention to detail and thoroughness required.
• Undergraduate degree
• Minimum of five years development experience
• Finance, economics, mathematics background or experience a plus
• Expertise with SQL Server 2005/2008, including database design, stored procedure development and optimization, SSIS job construction and query optimization
• C# development skills required, with user interface and multi-tier design a plus
• Expertise with SQL Reporting Services report development
• Superior organizational skills, with attention to user experience and data integrity when dealing with a disparate set of programs and data sources
• Ability to code using Agile methodologies
• Ability to work in a team-based, collaborative environment
