SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

The Senior Software Engineer is a part of a team responsible for defining the next generation of clinical information and communication systems for physicians and patients to interact using Kryptiq’s secure communication technologies. You will participate in the creation of new products and enhancements to existing products from concept to launch as part of a cross-functional project team. Your responsibility to the team is to design, implement, and test solutions that result in compelling, easy to use products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement .NET 3.5 solutions using C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET and SQL.
• Use OOP, OOD, Design Patterns and TDD in daily development practices.
• Mentor other team members.
• Develop front-end and back-end components accessing SQL Server and Oracle.
• Identify features and improvements to enhance overall product value: usability, maintainability, security and performance.
• Participate in all aspects of the software lifecycle including design, implementation, testing and sustaining.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least five years as a full-time software developer with design and implementation responsibility on software development teams.
• In-depth understanding and experience with the .NET 3.5 platform, C#, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
• In-depth understanding and experience with developing MS SQL based applications.
• Experience in a fast-paced, start-up style development environment.
• Experience in the design and development of enterprise-scale software architecture.
• Proven experience developing creative solutions to complex design problems and acting independently.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience in software application design and development in the medical IT field.
• Experience with LINQ and WCF.
• Understanding of principles of healthcare systems interface design and HL7.
