Social Media Marketing & Community Building Manager

Second Porch is the new social vacation home marketplace, started last year here in Portland, OR, and recently funded by the Oregon Angel Fund and other local angel investors.

This exciting position has three critical overall objectives 1) to grow our number of listings from home owners, and property managers 2) to engage our base of home owners, and property managers to leverage Second Porch to its fullest potential and 3) to use social and no/low cost marketing channels to attract increasing numbers of potential renters to use Second Porch for inquiries and bookings.

To accomplish the first objective, this position will investigate and engage owners in all potential online communities. The manager will use community engagement, and participation as well as direct outreach to build awareness and directly invite owners and managers to become part of Second Porch.

To accomplish the second objective, this position will directly engage owners who have listed with Second Porch for customer service, for training and for stimulating the owner engagement and use of all elements of Second Porch. This position will also opportunities for product marketing itself, and could also play a role in defining and/or creating those materials/training videos/tutorials/webinars.

To accomplish the third objective, this position will leverage a variety of channels to drive potential renter traffic to build and expand the individual home communities.

Requirements:
Must be fearless, gregarious, and have great email and social networking savvy and know-how. Must be willing to solve problems independently but be collaborative. Knowledge or experience with any aspect of the vacation home rental industry a huge plus.
