Summary:
Extensis is looking for a senior web developer (front end) to design and develop web applications for our font business. We are looking for someone that has in-depth knowledge of current web technologies including browsers and web server functionality. We are looking for a self-motivated developer who enjoys a fast paced, team environment and that wants to make a big impact on a small team.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, update and maintain online web applications and tools for our web font business
• Work with software engineering and IT teams to further development our API’s
• Create prototypes for usability test and evaluations
• Front end design and development
• Translate wireframe and PSDs into launch-ready, valid XHTML/CSS.
• Integrate final markup into JSP pages
• Perform other duties as need

Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 yrs in web application and UI development
• Strong knowledge in web frameworks and languages - HTML, CSS and XML
• AJAX/Javascript and associate frameworks (e.g. iQuery)
• Knowledge of cross-browser limitations and solutions
• JSP page development
• Development experience with Apache Tomcat servers
• Must have strong attention to detail and high-quality work
• Must be a flexible team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

It is highly desired to have an understanding of typography, fonts, and experience with ATG or similar Java based system.

The candidate will also have experience in a fast-paced, innovative development environment and strong experience with the current web technologies.
