COLOURlovers makes design super easy & fun. We build intuitive design tools and provide the world with access to a massive library of quality creative content. What started as a site to create and share color ideas and inspirations has grown into a huge creative resource reaching nearly 2 Million fine folks each month, and has been nominated for Best Community in the Webby Awards 5 years in a row.

We recently raised venture funds from some of the most awesome investors and we're looking to add a few more passionate, amazing self-starters to our team. Help us share the COLOURlove!

The Opportunity

We have award winning web applications & services used and loved by millions of people each month... and we want to bring them to the future. The HTML5 future. Among other projects, we want you to rescue our existing Seamless app (http://www.colourlovers.com/seamless) from Flash, and build it with the latest HTML5/Canvas technologies. Understanding vector image formats like SVG is key.

Requirements

Intimate with HTML5, Canvas & SVG.
Familiar with PHP, MySQL, SVN and basic back-end development.

You take direction well, but can also lead when the time calls for it.

We like you more if:

You have some Color Science / Color Theory knowledge.
You've shipped a nicely architected HTML5 app.
You have great sense for UX/UI when building apps.

COLOURlovers is a well known and loved creative community and resource. We have partners like Twitter, HP, Martha Stewart, Hearst Publications, Wordpress...etc. and we have top notch VC & angel investors.

We have co-working space in Portland, OR if you prefer a more social work environment... but we also know that some people work best from home. Our Dev team is growing in Portland, but we have team members in SF, NYC and S. Oregon as well.
