HitMe, Inc. is an exciting new mobile startup headquartered in the heart of Portland, Oregon. We are currently outsourcing development and are looking to hire an in-house lead developer to take over and complete development here in Portland.

We are targeting a developer who wants to work with a fast paced and ambitious team. We’re building software for an app that is cutting edge and will be deployed to millions of users. The right candidate must be a hands-on self-starter able to work independently and with teams as necessary. Our platform focuses largely on social networking and will include a location based retail sales spec in the near future.

You will be a critical team member as we prepare to do our soft (Beta) launch in the spring ’12 and our fall launch ’12. You will be deeply involved with the design, architecture, and development of this hybrid mobile application on the iOS and Android platform. You will be working alongside some of Portland’s most talented innovators whose shared goal is to create the first totally mobile social networking platform. Both the Founders are 25 years old; we are a young, rapidly growing, fast-paced company that loves having fun while changing the way the world interacts. We welcome pioneers. In fact, we insist on them!

Fulfill mobile application coding assignments according to technical specifications and end-user requirements
Participation in mobile application design process, including technical specifications
Documentation of design specifications and coding
Create and perform test scripts to ensure and improve application performance
Work with the software development team to test and develop all system implementations
Represent HitMe at conferences, events, and online
Answer directly to the CEO
Perform other duties as assigned and required for the success of the company

Education and Experience:
Be bold, be an innovator
Excellent development skills in the mobile space, with focus on: HTML5 and native & hybrid mobile development
Understanding of the Web technology stack (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
Willingness and ability to travel
Excellent communications skills, including experience speaking to a technical group, blogging, etc.
BA/ BS in Computer Science or a related field (MS is desired)
Deep knowledge of iOS and Android Operating systems
Experience with API integration
Experience developing apps that make web service calls
The ability to think from a UX perspective
Front-end web development experience (CCS, HTML, JavaScript)
Experience with relational database management systems (SQLite, MySQL, PostgresSQL)

Desired Attributes:
Experience with other mobile platforms (Windows, Blackberry, etc.)
Experience with Ruby on Rails (ROR)

Annual compensation DOE, highly competitive. Also, a full benefits plan to be negotiated, which may include annual performance-based bonus, paid company holidays, and paid time off.

Transportation: If you drive to work, we pay for your monthly parking pass. If you take public transportation (such as the Max) at least 10 times per month (round trip) or purchase a monthly pass, you are eligible for a reimbursement of up to $50.00 per month.
Computer: We will provide you with a brand new Mac computer with all required software and then some.
Phone: We provide you with the latest and greatest iPhone or Android.
Fridge: The fridge in our office is always fully stocked with bottled water, soda pop, energy drinks, juice drinks, sports drinks, snacks, etc.
Pizza Friday’s: Every Friday we order some pizza for our casual week-ending meeting to go over the weeks innovations and plan out the coming weeks goals.
Travel: All of your travel expenses are taken care of by us. While working with HitMe you’ll occasionally have the opportunity to travel around the country to different events and trade shows with the Founders to help represent HitMe.
