WebMD Health Services is looking for an experienced technology manager to lead our business intelligence team. In this role you will manage a cross-functional development team that includes solution architects, ETL and Report developers, and testers. Your team will work closely with its Product Owner to define and build a robust data warehouse solution to deliver real-time reports and dashboards that prove the value of our solutions to customers. An ideal candidate is a successful people manager with a track record of delivery in data warehousing and analytics.

This person must know how to hire and grow talent, motivate others, and provide excellent team and technical leadership. Prior experience working cross-functionally using Scrum or XP methodology is a plus.

• Ensure that teams have the direction and resources to deliver products
• Motivate teams and individuals to achieve objectives
• Provide technical leadership and grow technical leaders within the team
• Help team members to resolve technical and non-technical problems
• Hire development staff and manage individual performance
• Guide career progression for others and facilitate skills development
• Demonstrate and teach best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence

Qualifications

Education:
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field

Experience:
• 10+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years data warehousing/reporting experience
• 5+ years technology management experience

Skills & Certification:
• Advanced knowledge of ETL, Relational & Dimensional Databases, and BI
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
• Highly energized with a passion for data quality
• Prior experience with Scrum or XP methodology is a plus.
• Experience with health-related data is a plus.
