WebMD Health Services is looking for an experienced QA professional to work within an agile software development team to create our next generation of web-based health management applications. An ideal candidate for this position has prior experience on a Scrum or XP team, working on the testing approach and test execution of releases as part of iteration cycles. You will work side-by-side with developers, data architects, UI designers, product owners and other testers to deliver robust, highly-usable, software solutions with the scalability to serve our rapidly growing business.

This is a six month contract with the possibility of an extension.

Major Responsibilities
• Elaborate product requirements and define acceptance criteria with team
• Make effective use of daily stand-ups, iteration planning meetings, and retrospectives
• Deliver automated test solutions (acceptance and regression)
• Perform exploratory testing
• Provide feedback to developers to prevent and resolve defects
• Drive software demos to demonstrate stories for acceptance

Education
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience
• 4+ years software testing or development experience
• Prior experience with Windows, C#/.NET, and SQL
• Prior experience working on a Scrum or XP team preferred
• Familiar with agile test automation frameworks (e.g. Cucumber, FitNesse, Robot)

• Strong testing and automation skills, proven by a track record of success
• Ability to take direction and function independently. Occasionally assists others in their work.
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
• Comprehensive knowledge of software testing processes, methodologies and best practices.
