Software Test Engineer

The mission of this job is to help Elemental perfect the media experience by designing and implementing test methodologies and procedures that will produce superior quality software on fast-track scheduled releases. We are looking for a superstar customer-centric test engineer with a passion for quality whose goal is to create solid, reliable software that defines its genre. In this role, you will be working closely with the product marketing, development and customer support teams to create tests that efficiently and
effectively test our products.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will:
•Work with product marketing, customer support and development teams to identify and
understand our external customers and integrate their “stories” into our tests
•Develop, document and implement repeatable, concise test procedures and processes
•Look for and identify test methodology and process improvements

The successful candidate will have, at a minimum:
•A BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
•Strong testing skills and knowledge of testing methodology

Additional strengths include experience with:
•Testing video codecs, Set Top Boxes, TV broadcasting or delivery video over networks
•Using and creating output using Flash Media Server, MS Smooth Streaming, and/or Apple Live
•Test experience with Linux-based products
