Emma is looking for a talented user experience designer to join one of the most interesting and unique technology companies around.

This is a role that meshes form and function, taking complex processes and heaps of data and presenting them in the most simple, usable and stylish way possible. Already known for its easy-to-use interface, Emma is looking to break new ground in its future interface work by incorporating the best of modern application design with Emma's own unique style and flare to create one of the more unique customer experiences around.

To that end, the ideal candidate will understand the interplay between design, development and data and be able to diagram and prototype solutions that demonstrate your ideas. You'll be comfortable chatting with all kinds of folks about Emma products, and based on what you learn in those chats, you'll work with other team members to create unique interface concepts and ensure that the final product meets the needs of the user. Above all, you'll be adept at creating smart, efficient features that are simple and fun to use, and you'll enjoy being part of a team, who *may* be really big geeks. What can we say - we really like the interwebs.

Things we'll be looking for:

* Experience interviewing and brainstorming with stakeholders about products
* Experience creating wireframes, site maps, interactive prototypes, and visual designs for user interfaces
* Usability testing experience is a plus, but not required
* Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and similar
* Ideally, two years or more of web application design experience
* Experience being part of front-end development or design teams for multiple web apps, with at least one role leading the design from start to finish.
* Experience in the email marketing and communications industry is not required

We are looking for folks who would like to live and work in Portland, OR, with relocation possible for the right candidate.
