As a web applications engineer, you will:
Work closely with product marketing, customer support engineering and designers to give intuitive user interfaces to difficult features
Optimize web application code to be fast and functional on resource-constrained systems
Provide highly responsive technical assistance to the customer support team, translating customer requests into functional code
Work closely with the entire team to complete release cycles

The successful implementation of this position requires, at a minimum:
2+ years of professional software development experience
Expertise in Ruby on Rails or another web application framework
Deep understanding of MySQL, Postgres or MS SQL
Strong HTML, CSS and Javascript
Experience developing RESTful APIs

Additional strengths include experience with:
C/C++ on Windows and Linux
Developing cloud-based software on Amazon EC2
Audio and video codecs
Developing software for distributed or clustered systems
Ability to travel domestically on occasion
