# Geek alert: Portland added to Google Maps Street View

This is both a geek alert and a time-waster alert, but it’s official: [Google Maps now contains street views of Portland, Oregon](https://www.google.com/maps/@45.5157873,-122.67917,3a,75y,103.91h,142.85t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sInRGEhj0FniKy7YQiezWSg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en&entry=ttu "Google Maps Street View of Portland Oregon").

It appears that the street views are confined to more of Portland-proper, with the cameras stopping short of the west-side suburban sprawl growth. The east side looks to be well covered. And they’ve wandered around the ‘Couv a bit, as well.
