# Software Association of Oregon adds familiar faces, Twitter

[![Software Association of Oregon - SAO](https://i0.wp.com/siliconflorist.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/sao_logo.gif?w=925)](http://sao.org "Software Association of Oregon - SAO")The [Software Association of Oregon](http://www.sao.org "Software Association of Oregon") has recently announced a new [Board of Directors](http://www.sao.org/About_SAO/sao_board_of_directors.php "SAO Board of Directors"). And I’m happy to report that those new Board members include a number of familiar faces from companies that have graced the pages of the Silicon Florist.

“Who?” you ask?

Well, hold your horses and I’ll tell you:

- Craig Barnes of [Panels](http://panels.net/ "Panels")
- [Ryan Buchanan](http://twitter.com/ryanbuch "Ryan Buchanan") of [eROI](http://eroi.com "eROI")
- Brian Jamison of [OpenSourcery](http://opensourcery.com "OpenSourcery")
- Brian Kissel of [JanRain](http://janrain.com "JanRain")
- [Scott Kveton](http://twitter.com/kveton "Scott Kveton") of [Vidoop](http://vidoop.com "Vidoop"), [Bacon Geek](http://bacongeek.com "Bacon Geek"), and [bacn](http://bacn.com "Bacn")
- Hugh Mackworth of [Smart Forest](http://www.smartforest.com/ "Smart Forest")

Congratulations to the SAO and [all of the new Board members](http://www.sao.org/About_SAO/sao_board_of_directors.php "SAO Board of Directors"). It’s nice to see some of the Web startups here in town getting a seat at the table.

Not only that, it’s a good direction for the SAO to be moving to ensure that they remain relevant with all of the various “tech community”s in town.

In other news, the [SAO now has a Twitter presence](http://twitter.com/saopdx "SAO on Twitter"). Coincidence? Yeah, probably. But interesting anyway.
