# Celebrate Portland Lunch 2.0’s First Birthday Wednesday at AboutUs

![120px-aboutuslogonew.png](https://i0.wp.com/siliconflorist.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/120px-aboutuslogonew.png?w=925)It’s been nearly a year since [AboutUs](http://www.aboutus.org/) hosted the [first](http://www.lunch20.com/2008/02/28/portland-lunch-20-launches/) Portland Lunch 2.0 back in late February 2008, and we’ll be back there again this Wednesday, February 11.

The last year has been busy, in a good way, for the AboutUs crew. Since we lunched with them last, they’ve been busy raising [money](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/01/09/aboutus-secures-5-million-in-funding-and-they-could-be-hiring-soon-too/), no easy feat in this economy, and staying atop the [Portland Startup Index](http://www.techvibes.com/blog/portland/category/start-up-index).

I’m looking forward to checking in with the gang and with all of you, natch. You are coming, right? What better way to kick off what [Bram](http://twitter.com/brampitoyo) has dubbed the “[Busiest Day in Portland Tech](http://linkenfuego.wordpress.com/2009/02/08/portland-creativetech-event-listing-for-the-week-of-february-9-15-2009/)“. He would know.

So, it’s settled. Just please make sure you RSVP over on [Upcoming](http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/1326795/) so they know how much food to get and drop a comment there if you’re a vegan or vegetarian.

It’s been a year now, with ten Lunches 2.0. Or is it Lunch 2.0s? Rick will know.

- Comedic [confusion](http://siliconflorist.com/2008/10/16/lunch-and-unexpected-careers-at-the-art-institute/) at the [Art Institute](http://www.artinstitutes.edu/portland/) when we overlapped a career fair.

MioWorks needs a place to host their lunch. I guess their tiny office can’t hold 100+ people for lunch. So, if you have suggestions about where they could host, drop a comment, or noodle on it and wait for the official announcement.
