Tabula Rasa: Slate Technologies opens with a Beer and Blog, followed by BarCamp Portland and Strange Love Live

When’s a good time to start a startup? That’s right: anytime. And the folks over at Portland-based Slate Technologies are not only starting up, they’re opening an office to boot.

Slate has some interesting projects underway—and likely even more interesting things to come:

Our major services are technology support for small business, web site design, and corporate branding. We will be moving forward with several applications including customer relations management, inventory management and iPhone development.

And what better way to celebrate a grand opening than with a Beer and Blog? No better way, I say.

So join the Slate Technologies folks and the Beer and Blog gang at the new Slate digs. And since the Slate folks are offering up free beer and pizza, it might be a good idea to RSVP so they know how many to expect.

It’s a clean Slate. And speaking of clean slates, don’t forget that the Friday fun doesn’t end there.

That’s right. After the Slate grand opening and Beer and Blog festivities, all of us will be heading over to CubeSpace to start the BarCamp Portland planning activities. Where we’ll fill up that clean slate of a BarCamp schedule with all sorts of interesting sessions.

Wow. That’s a great Friday. But good things come in threes, right? That’s right. So wait, there’s even more.

This week, BarCamp Portland will be host to Strange Love Live with Cami Kaos and Dr. Normal. Live from BarCamp Portland planning at CubeSpace. One hour earlier. Starting at 9-ish.

Now that’s what I call a Friday.
