# May 1st is the perfect day for a reboot. So welcome to the new Silicon Florist.

Back in the day. Or in the dotcom days, at least (I may be showing my age here), May Day was always a good time for a [May 1st reboot](http://www.may1reboot.com/ "May 1 reboot").

And while the “official” reboot doesn’t seem to be occurring this year, I’m always happy to partake in the Spring cleaning of look and feel.

With that said, welcome to the new [Silicon Florist](http://siliconflorist.com "Silicon Florist").

I know. I hear you. “WTF?” you’re saying. But let’s face it. It was time wasn’t it? Sure, sure. The watering pail guy didn’t make a reappearance. But you have to admit, it’s way better isn’t it?

Who am I kidding? You’re probably reading this via the [Silicon Florist RSS feed](http://feeds2.feedburner.com/siliconflorist "Silicon Florist RSS feed"), anyway.

But just in case you’re hitting the Web… Here’s the new look and feel for Silicon Florist.

I’m hoping that Web browsing types find this a great deal cleaner, more accessible, and just downright prettier. And it’s all thanks to [Josh Pyles](http://twitter.com/pixelmatrix "Josh Pyles") over at [Pixelmatrix Design](http://www.pixelmatrixdesign.com/ "Pixlematrix Design"), a guy who’s got more design talent in his pinky toe than I have in my whole body—and then some.

Newsworthy? Not exactly. But more useful? Hopefully.

Sure sure, we’re still working out a few kinks, but we’re getting there. Bear in mind, this is a side project, brother and/or sister. So hopefully, you’ll find the new Silicon Florist a bit more useable.

Hopefully, I’m highlighting some more cool stuff over there in the sidebar—like events (whose order is a little wonky currently) and interesting links. And giving folks more exposure by extending the front page.

We’ll just have to see, won’t we?

If not, I’d love to hear your feedback.
