# Lunch 2.0 at Webtrends

Although I didn’t make it to the [last](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/05/20/reminder-portland-lunch-20-hosted-webvisions-today-oregon-convention-center/) Lunch 2.0, hosted by [WebVisions](http://webvisionsevent.com) at the [Oregon Convention Center](http://www.oregoncc.org/), I hear it was a good time.

I also hear the poor WebVisions volunteers were a bit flustered trying to check badges on unsuspecting lunch-goers. Sorry about that.

And poor Rick was operating at half capacity due to seasonal allergies. Poor guy.

Anyway, the Lunch 2.0s are fast and furious now that Summer is here. Not intentionally, but happily, at least if you like to hang out around town in the sunshine.

The next Lunch 2.0 is coming up fast. It’s June 4 (yes, that’s a Thursday) at [Webtrends](http://www.webtrends.com/).

I’m sure you know Webtrends already, or you should. They’ve been around since 1993. But, in case you don’t, here’s an excerpt from their [about](http://www.webtrends.com/AboutWebTrends/CorporateBackground.aspx):

If you attend PDX Lunch 2.0, you’ve probably heard about [Open Source Bridge](http://opensourcebridge.org/) already.

You know, the volunteer-run conference, dedicated to open source citizenship and (ahem) world domination that’s happening [June 17-19 at the OCC](http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/1809018/).

Rather than co-opting another Lunch 2.0 to promote the conference, we’re (full disclosure, both Rick and I are volunteers) teaming up with Webtrends, one of our awesome sponsors, to fill your ears with open source goodness and your belly with yummy food.

Coincidentally, Webtrends is a quick walk across Taylor Street from the [Hilton Portland](http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/PDXPHHH-Hilton-Portland-Executive-Tower-Oregon/index.do), where the Open Source Bridge all-hours [hacker lounge](http://opensourcebridge.org/about/2009/03/open-source-conference-prerequisite-1-space-for-hacking/) will be during the conference.

And yes, June 4 is a Thursday.
