# Strange Love Live: Open Source Bridge’s Selena Deckelmann and Audrey Eschright

Tonight, everyone’s favorite Portland tech podcast will be featuring everyone’s favorite Portland open source conference. That’s right. [Strange Love Live](http://strangelovelive.com "Strange Love Live") is chatting with the co-founders of [Open Source Bridge](http://opensourcebridge.org "Open Source Bridge").

“What’s Open Source Bridge, you ask?” he said with the full disclosure that he was acting as a marketing volunteer and that Silicon Florist was a media sponsor.

Why, it’s an [entirely volunteer run conference for open source citizens](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/02/26/open-source-bridge-calling-all-open-source-citizens/ "Open Source Bridge for open source citizens") being help June 17 – 19, 2009 at the Oregon Convention Center.

Even if you’re not interested in the conference, [Selena Deckelmann](http://twitter.com/selenamarie "Selena Deckelmann") and [Audrey Eschright](http://twitter.com/spinnerin "Audrey Eschright")—the co-founders of Open Source Bridge—are wicked interesting.

> **Selena Deckelmann** is an enthusiastic open source advocate and PostgreSQL specialist. Her work ranges from the highly local–organizing the Portland PostgreSQL User Group–to planning national conferences, and international outreach to other user groups and events. She is also a founding board member of Legion of Tech, a non-profit focused on connecting Portlanders through technology. > **Audrey Eschright** is a programmer and self-described geek. She published a science fiction magazine called Yog’s Notebook, leads the open source calendaring development group, Calagator, and is an accomplished crafter. She is also a founding board member of the Legion of Tech. She curated a panel at OSCON on tools that local communities use and is a fixture in the Portland user group community. She was recently featured in the Oregonian’s Ultimate Northwest Magazine as one of Portland’s 25 Most Creative Thinkers.
