# REMINDER: CubeSpace farewell party tonight

Obviously, I’ve been following the whole [CubeSpace](http://cubespacepdx.com "CubeSpace") story—from the [efforts to save it](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/05/26/save-cubespace-rounding-conversations-wait-details/ "Save CubeSpace") to the [final decision to close](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/06/08/cubespace-coda/ "CubeSpace coda")—with morose interest. And now, it’s time to say the final farewell. Since it’s still not clear what’s happening with the [rumored resurrection of CubeSpace](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/06/15/cubespace-resurrection/ "CubeSpace resurrection?"), today marks the [farewell party](http://ourpdx.com/2009/06/cubespace-farewell-party-tuesday-616/ "CubeSpace farewell party") for the beloved hub of the Portland startup tech scene.

Come join David, Eva, and the CubeSpace staff to say goodbye to the coworking space that has launched a thousand Camps.

As [Betsy Richter at OurPDX](http://ourpdx.com/2009/06/cubespace-farewell-party-tuesday-616/ "Details on CubeSpace farewell party") says:

> David & Eva want to be able to say farewell to CubeSpace—in CubeSpace itself. So please consider joining them Tuesday, June 16th, starting at 4 pm. Bring your best wishes for David & Eva, and leave with your very own CubeSpace coffee mug to keep some of those memories alive.

The event is a bring-your-own-whatever get together. Kind of like a potluck, but with snacks and beverages.

This is your best chance to thank the CubeSpace family, say goodbye to the space, and meet with friends who—more likely than not—you met at CubeSpace.

Undeniably sad. But I remain confident that—whether through the relationships established at CubeSpace or through the lessons learned from the CubeSpace saga—a thousand positive things will stem from this heart-wrenching demise.

If you’re thinking about swinging by—and I highly suggest that you do—please [RSVP on Upcoming](http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/2896963/ "RSVP for the CubeSpace farewell party") so they have an idea of how many people to expect.
