# Lunch 2.0 at Slate Technologies

[Slate Technologies](http://www.slatetechpdx.com/) will be our host for the 19th iteration of Portland Lunch 2.0 on August 5.

Even though they’re a relatively young company, Slate should already be well known to the community. You may recall Slate [introduced](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/04/30/tabula-rasa-slate-technologies-opens-with-a-beer-and-blog-followed-by-barcamp-portland-and-strange-love-live/) itself to Portland by hosting a [Beer and Blog](http://portland.beerandblog.com) back in April and [started](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/05/22/save-cubespace/) the campaign to save CubeSpace in May.

Plus, you probably know the Slate team personally through other community events and/or Twitter. They are:

- Chris O’Rourke ([@chrisorourke](http://www.twitter.com/chrisorourke))
- Elizabeth Buckwalter ([@elizabetcb](http://www.twitter.com/elizabethcb))
- Daniel Erickson ([@techwraith](http://www.twitter.com/techwraith))
- Jeffrey Erickson ([@jeffreykaine](http://www.twitter.com/jeffreykaine))

Slate offers technology consulting, web design, corporate branding and IT services, running the gamut of technology and design services.

*Update: I neglected to mention Shelley ([@addictedtotext](http://twitter.com/addictedtotext)) who is [interning](http://www.addictedtotext.com/2009/07/16/me-at-work/) at Slate. Sorry about the omission. I blame Chris.*
