# End Bloglessness 2: This time… it’s hosted

Do you want to make more money? Sure! We all do.… oh wait. That’s not the right [Sally Struthers](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fj23I8hgj28 "Sally Struthers: Do you want to make more money? Sure! We all do.") impression. Cut. Let’s take that again from the top.

Ahem. Did you know that every day thousands of Portlanders and Silicon Forest residents go through life without the joy of writing on their own personal blog? It’s sad but true. Even though Portland tends to be one of the bloggiest cities per capita there are still those who can’t quite seem to start the personal blog they so richly deserve.

But now, there’s help. For less than the cost of a cup of coffee per day—much less actually considering it’s free—every person in Portland can have their own blog, thanks to [Beer and Blog](http://beerandblog.com "Beer and Blog")‘s [End Bloglessness](http://portland.beerandblog.com/2009/07/14/end-bloglessness-2/ "End Bloglessness").

Don’t have a blog? Don’t worry. The End Bloglessness team understands. And they’re here to help. This Saturday—July 18—from noon to 5 at Webtrends.

> Each session will be 1 hour: 15 minute presentation and 45 minutes of assisted help. During assisted help, attendees can raise their hands to get help from one of our assistants. Assistants are folks from the Portland tech scene that have done this process before who can help you with your questions.

[Last time around](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/01/08/only-you-can-prevent-bloglessness/ "Only you can prevent bloglessness"), the bloggers standing by were helping users configure installed blogs. But that took quite a bit of time away from learning how to blog. So this time, they’re going to use a hosted solution.

Can you guess which hosted blog solution they chose? Need a hint? [You’re in Portland](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/07/14/wordcamp-portland-2009-continues-add-awesome-speakers/). Need another? There’s a really cool [annual event built around using this platform](http://wordcampportland.org). Got it, yet? Well, how about me just telling you then?

> We are focusing on WordPress blogs for this workshop. We chose WordPress so that if your blog is going well enough and you need to graduate to a hosted blog, you’re \[sic\] data and experience will be compatible.

Already a blogger of some repute? You’re welcome, too. While they’ll have a crack team of blogging experts on hand, it’s always nice to have some folks waiting as reserves.

Need a blog? [Get going to End Bloglessness](http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/3077785/ "RSVP for End Bloglessness"). Got a blog? Show up and pitch in.

Remember, only you can End Bloglessness.
