# Pukka is pure awesome whether you manage multiple Delicious accounts or not

Now, I realize that not everyone manages multiple social bookmark accounts. But I know some of you do. You’ve got two or three [Delicious](http://del.icio.us "Delicious") accounts. Maybe one for personal stuff and one for the blog. Or maybe you had to add another account when you resurrected your Ma.gnolia links. Whatever the case, managing those multiple accounts can get to be a bit of a headache.

And even if you don’t have multiple accounts, there are issues. Like having tons of bookmarks through which to search. Surely that could be made a tad easier?

Now, it can be. Thanks to [Pukka](http://codesorcery.net/pukka "Pukka"), a Mac-based application built by [Justin Miller](http://twitter.com/incanus77 "Justin Miller on Twitter") of Portland-based [Code Sorcery Workshop](http://codesorcery.net "Code Sourcery Workshop").

I just started using it last week. And honestly? I’m already enamored of Pukka. It’s changed my social bookmarking activity as much as [MarsEdit](http://www.red-sweater.com/marsedit/ "MarsEdit") has changed by blogging. Funny how installed apps can change your Web behavior.

Pukka is easy, straightforward, and, well, it just works. And you’ve got to love an app that lets you launch it from a bookmarklet. Especially when—unlike bookmarklets for Delicious (I use [Camino](http://caminobrowser.org/ "Camino browser"), so sue me)—the Pukka bookmarklet works flawlessly. Just like the Delicious addin on [Firefox](http://getfirefox.com "Firefox").

[![Pukka bookmarking and searching](https://i0.wp.com/farm4.static.flickr.com/3514/3744106970_d2d5d4bf44.jpg?resize=500%2C353 "Pukka in action (Click for a larger image)")](http://www.flickr.com/photos/turoczy/3744106970/ "Pukka bookmarking and searching by turoczy, on Flickr")

But [with search, I’m loving Pukka all the more](http://codesorcery.net/2009/07/13/pukka-18-now-with-search "Pukka 1.8: now with search!"). And as it turns out, I’m not the only one.

> Search is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. But Pukka is such a lightweight app that I thought long and hard about how to best introduce the feature while keeping Pukka seeming fast and unobtrusive as people have come to expect. The easy route would have been another window or sidebar, but I feel that the new search bar really keeps the application tight and focused. As one beta tester said, “The response and animation on the search menu is very slick. It feels very light and nimble. Well done.”

And when you need to post to another of your Delicious accounts? No problem. Just grab the dropdown and pick the right account before you submit. Voila!

Yes, I think Pukka is cool. But don’t just take my word for it. There are [tons of other folks](http://delicious.com/getpukka/reviews "Reviews of Pukka")—like [Leo Laporte](http://twit.tv/mbw82 "Leo Laporte on Pukka"), [Paul Staminou](http://paulstamatiou.com/2006/07/11/pukka-got-me-bookmarking-again/ "Paul Stammy Staminou on Pukka"), and [Lifehacker](http://lifehacker.com/software/blogger/the-top-five-mac-blogging-tools-215766.php "Top 5 Mac blogging tools")—who think it’s pretty cool, too.

Whether you’re a bookmarking fiend or you’ve never bookmarked anything in your life, give Pukka a try. It’s sure to change your social bookmarking skills for the better.

Pukka is free to try. If you like what you see, you can [purchase a license for $16.95](http://codesorcery.net/sales "Buy Pukka").
