# WordCamp Portland sells out

Now, as we all know, the Camps are a pretty popular item here in the Portland area. BarCamp Portland, WhereCamp, Digital Journalism Camp… the list goes on and on. And when you combine that campity camp camp popularity with the WordPress fandom that consumes the blogging world of Portland, you’ve got a sure fire recipe for a killer camp.

That’s [WordCamp Portland](http://www.wordcampportland.org "WordCamp Portland"). And that’s why—as promised—[it sold out in a little over a week](http://www.wordcampportland.org/2009/08/tickets-are-now-sold-out-theres-a-waiting-list/ "Tickets are now Sold Out; There’s a Waiting List").

That’s right. WordCamp Portland is all full. Now, I tend to think it’s a big deal when [our free events around here—like Ignite Portland—sell out](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/02/05/dont-forget-your-ig-nevermind-ignite-portland-5-sells-out-in-5-minutes/ "Don’t forget your Ig… Nevermind. Ignite Portland 5 sells out in 5 minutes"), so needless to say, I think it’s an even bigger deal when for-pay events do the same thing.

So if you didn’t get a ticket, you’re out of luck, for now. But buck up, little camper. [There’s a waiting list](http://wcpdx-wait.eventbrite.com/ "WordCamp Portland waiting list")—should some folks decide to drop out.
