# Miss the OEN Venture Northwest application deadline? No you didn’t

It happened again, didn’t it? I know, I know. You were planning to do it. But you kept hitting snooze on the task. And then when you finally had a second to consider it, you realized that the [deadline for applying for OEN Venture Northwest](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/08/26/oen-venture-northwest-week-left-apply/ "OEN Venture Northwest: You’ve got one week left to apply") had passed. So sad. And you had “smart investment” written all over you.

Well, turn that frown upside down, my friend. You’re in luck. You’ve been granted an extension. That’s right. **The deadline is now September 8**. I mean, you weren’t planning to do anything this weekend anyway, right?

C’mon you. It’s not that hard. And you’ve really got a good idea. And, let’s be honest, I’d really love to see a tech or mobile company walk away with the top prize. I mean, apparel is cool and all. But you—you my friend—are the future of Oregon startups.

So get to work on the five-page executive summary, 10-slide presentation, 50-word description, and 600-word company summary. You can do it. And then scrape together the $545 entry fee. That’s cash, unfortunately. I don’t think you can finance the entry fee based on your future winnings, no matter confident you may be.
