# Matt Mullenweg on martinis, jazz, and a little open source project called WordPress

\[HTML2\]If you’re an out-of-town tech type who’s traipsing through Portland chances are—that at one time or another—you’re going to wind up on the set of [Strange Love Live](http://strangelovelive.com "Strange Love Live"), the best tech podcast in Portland… if not the world.

So it comes as no surprise that when [Matt Mullenweg](http://ma.tt "Matt Mullenweg"), the founder of [WordPress](http://wordpress.org), was here in town for [Beer and Blog (yes, the rumors were true)](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/09/17/rumor-wordpress-matt-mullenweg-beer-blog/ "Rumor: WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg will be at Beer and Blog") and [WordCamp Portland](http://siliconflorist.com/2009/08/31/wordcamp-portland-wordpress-founder-matt-mullenweg-field-questions/ "WordCamp Portland: WordPress founder Matt Mullenweg to field questions") that [Cami Kaos](http://twitter.com/camikaos "Cami Kaos") and [Dr. Normal](http://twitter.com/drnormal "Dr. Normal") managed to wrangle Matt away from WordCamp for a few minutes to chat about martinis, jazz, and, of course, WordPress.

What about the other content from the conference? Word around the campfire is that all of the [WordCamp Portland content that was streamed will be made available](http://www.wordcampportland.org/2009/09/the-streamed-sessions-will-be-posted-online/ "The Streamed Sessions will be Posted Online")—they’re just not sure quite when. So you’re encouraged to [stay tuned to the WordCamp site](http://www.wordcampportland.org/feed "WordCamp Portland RSS feed").

And rest assured, I’ll let you know too.
