# Dig the Drupal? You’ll want to hit DrupalCamp Portland this weekend

Now, I spend a fair amount of time touting some other blogging and content management systems. But one I haven’t had much of a chance to talk about—even though they have a very strong dev community here in Portland—is [Drupal](http://drupal.org/ "Drupal"), the highly extensible open source content management system.

And if you feel the same way—I mean that you’d like to talk more about Drupal too—this weekend is the perfect opportunity for you. You see, [DrupalCamp Portland](http://drupalpdx.org "DrupalCamp Portland") is taking place October 9-11 at [NedSpace Old Town](http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=117+NW+5th+Ave+Suite+210+Portland,+OR+97209&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=A "NedSpace Old Town").

What’s DrupalCamp you ask? Well, it’s an unconference to explore all things Drupal. It’s open to all levels, from newbie to advanced developers.

> People who use Drupal- developers, themers, and users all. If you want to get your hands dirtier, you’re in the right place.

In addition to awesome local Drupal folk sharing their tips, tricks, and ideas, you’ll also get the opportunity to rub nodes with a bunch of Drupal rock stars, including:

- [Sam Boyer](http://drupal.org/user/146719 "Sam Boyer")
- [Greg Dunlap](http://drupal.org/user/128537 "Greg Dunlap")
- [Jonathan Hedstrom](http://drupal.org/user/208732 "Jonathan Hedstrom")
- [Josh Koenig](http://drupal.org/user/3313 "Josh Koenig")
- [Andrew Morton](http://drupal.org/user/34869 "Andrew Morton")
- Mike Prasuhn
- [Damien Tournoud](http://drupal.org/user/22211 "Damien Tournoud")
- [Dylan Wilder-Tack](http://drupal.org/user/96647 "Dylan Wilder-Tack")

The [proposed sessions](http://drupalpdx.org/camp09/sessions "DrupalCamp sessions") are looking really good. But there is always room for a few more.

> Sessions and schedule will be finalized on Friday night, and submissions are welcome up until that time (hence, this list is not comprehensive)- you don’t have to submit your session here in order to present! However, if you already know you’d like to share a certrain session ahead of time, please post it here.

Tickets are still available for the event.
