Feeling the urge to gnaw on some unconference sessions? Beaver BarCamp is Saturday

We love our events here in the Silicon Forest—especially events in the whole unconference format. And there’s no better unconference than the original unconference, BarCamp.

And while BarCamp Portland IV is still half of a year away, there’s a great opportunity to sink your teeth into BarCamping this weekend with Beaver BarCamp in Corvallis.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the unconference format, it’s worth taking the chance to experience it. You, as an attendee, have no idea what’s going to happen at the event until you show up. Then you and your peers propose the topics, organize the schedule, and lead the discussions.

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.

And it doesn’t necessarily have to be techie. It can be about anything. And often is.

Beaver BarCamp is free. Food and drink will also be provided, free of charge. The event will be held at the Kelley Engineering Center at OSU on October 17th from 10 AM – 6:30 PM.

If you’re interested in following along, you might want to follow the Beaver BarCamp Twitter account or you can follow the hashtags #bbc4 or #beaverbarcamp. If you’d like to attend, register for Beaver BarCamp.
