# From Portland? At SXSW? Head over to the Portland Tech Community Party tonight

So you’re down in Austin at [SXSW](http://sxsw.com "SXSW"). Soaking up all kinds of interactive knowledge and goodness. But you’re feeling a little wistful. You’re missing spending time with your Portland tech friends. I mean, that must be why you’re reading this blog post.

Well, buck up little camper. I’ve got some good news for you. There’s a Portland party at SXSW this year. That’s right! See all of your Portland peers all in one spot, Sunday night beginning at 5:30 at the [Karma Lounge](http://www.karma-austin.com/ "Karma Lounge"). What’s that? Not from Portland? Swing by anyway.

The party—sponsored by Portland shops [ISITE](http://www.isitedesign.com/ "ISITE"), [Mighty Code](http://mightycode.com/ "Mighty Code"), [Taplister](http://www.taplister.com/ "Taplister"), [Webvisions](http://www.webvisionsevent.com/ "Webvisions"), [Legion of Tech](http://legionoftech.org/ "Legion of Tech"), and [Fast Wonder](http://fastwonderblog.com/ "Fast Wonder")—is simply a chance for Portland folks down at SXSW to meet up with other Portland folks down at SXSW. And it also provides an opportunity to drag along any other folks who might enjoy meeting the Portland crowd.

Oh. And did I mention that there’s werewolf? That’s right. It wouldn’t be a Portland tech event without some breaking out a game of werewolf, know would it? (But don’t worry. Playing werewolf is not required.)
