# memePDX 034: WordCamp Portland and Open Source Bridge speakers, MDiTV, Oregon Education gets Googled, and HP acquires Palm

It’s Thursday. And that means it’s time for another episode of @memePDX. Part of any nutritious lunch. On Thursday. Or something.

Anyway. This week Cami Kaos (@camikaos) and I (@turoczy) cover [WordCamp Portland announcing speakers and opening talk submissions](http://www.wordcampportland.org/2010/04/announcing-our-first-speakers-and-a-public-call-for-speakers/ "WordCamp Portland speakers announced"), [Open Source Bridge announces speakers](http://opensourcebridge.org/blog/2010/04/announcing-the-open-source-bridge-2010-talks/ "Open Source Bridge talks announced"), [MDiTV launches](http://siliconflorist.com/2010/04/28/healthy-content-mditv-bring-video-content-health-web/ "Healthy content: MDiTV looks to bring video content about your health to the Web"), [Oregon educational system starts using Google apps](http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/alis-volat-propriis-oregons-bringing.html "Oregon Department of Education adopts Google Apps statewide"), and [HP acquires Palm for $1.2 billion](http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2010/100428xa.html "HP acquires Palm for $1.2 billion"). And we probably spend a little too much time talking about Chris Messina (@chrismessina).

Let’s get to it.
