# WordCamp Portland 2010: Time is running out to see Matt Mullenweg, Mark Jaquith, Jane Wells, and more

Time for all the [WordPress](http://wordpress.org "WordPress")—the open source blogging and content management system popular in Portland and a great number of other places—types to gather and share and learn. Time for [WordCamp Portland](http://www.wordcampportland.org/ "WordCamp Portland").

And true to form, WordCamp Portland is shaping up to be one of the best WordCamps of the year, with speakers like [Matt Mullenweg](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Mullenweg "Matt Mullenweg"), [Mark Jaquith](http://markjaquith.com/ "Mark Jaquith"), and [Jane Wells](http://jane.wordpress.com/ "Jane Wells") among [others](http://www.wordcampportland.org/schedule/ "WordCamp Portland 2010 schedule"). But if you want to take part, you better hurry. What’s a [WordCamp](http://central.wordcamp.org/ "WordCamp Central"), you ask? Well, it’s about the best place for everyone—from never touched a blog newbie to WordPress plugin guru—to get the latest and greatest information on how people are using the WordPress platform. Or, to hear the WordPress folks tell it:

> WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you.
