Searching for a free beer in Portland? Google Hotpot can help you find one at Beer and Blog, this Friday

This Friday, Google Hotpot have one recommendation that few Portland people will be able to dismiss: visit Beer and Blog at the Green Dragon for a free beer.

In a town like Portland, where we’re a little spoiled with a selection of brewpubs and restaurants, making decisions can be difficult. Reliable recommendations—especially from people you trust—can be the key to figuring out where you want to go.

Google Hotpot, a new service that helps provide those recommendations, is being currently going through a little test drive—right here in Portland. And this Friday, the Google Hotpot folks have a recommendation that few people will be able to ignore: visit Beer and Blog at the Green Dragon for a free beer.

In return for buying you beer, Google has just one oh-so-small request. If you haven’t already, please sign up for Hotpot, give it a try, come to Beer and Blog and deliver your feedback to Google in person. That’s right. In person. How often do you get to shake hands with a Google employee, much less give them direct feedback about a product?

…

As if that’s not enough, the super nerdy among you may have the chance to participate in some more focused, nitty-gritty chit-chats about the product, where you can really give Google a piece of your mind.

If the Green Dragon doesn’t have a ton of Google Hotpot reviews after this little venture, then the Internet itself has failed.

In order to make sure that they have an accurate count of attendees, please make sure to RSVP for the Google Hotpot sponsored Beer and Blog.

  3. The bookmarklet works for me to t.co your site as easily as a tweet button. Was just allaying your fears that a user needed help.

  4. That’s a bookmarklet. I can’t add that to a page. I’m lost, confused, and stupid.

  5. Sorry Joel. I don’t usually add tweet buttons unless there’s a lot of Twitter activity on a particular topic. Seeing tons of posts with “0” tweets just depresses me.

Sorry for the extra work on your part.

  6. A tweet button somewhere on the article page would be nice, or an RT @turoczy button :-0

  7. It’s going to be mad in there. Where do I sign up? Oh yeah, right here: http://portland.beerandblog.com/2011/02/10/google-wants-to-buy-you-beer/
