Care to guess who the Portland Seed Fund selected for its first class?

Well, well, well. Here we are. The moment for which we’ve been waiting, patiently, for quite some time. It’s time to announce the first class of the Portland Seed Fund, a new fund designed to help stimulate startup growth here in Portland.

And now? Now it’s time to see who is going to get stimulated… err funded. So who made the cut?

Well. Um. Hold your horses. Just a little bit longer. They haven’t revealed the names just yet. Although The Oregonian has revealed:

The first class of companies, announced Tuesday, will be “heavy in software and mobile development, with a mix of consumer-facing and business-facing offerings,” the seed fund said in a statement. “Founding teams range from seasoned, serial entrepreneurs with a new venture to first-time CEOs.”

Given we’ve got some time to kill while we wait, I thought I’d put the query in your lap, gentle reader: Who do you think made the cut? Got a guess?

Tell you what. Guess three local tech companies who had enough appeal for Portland Seed Fund to open their purse strings—to the tune of $25,000 in funding—and jot them down below. Once revealed, we’ll come back and see who had the best guesses. For those folks closest to the mark? I’ll dig into the Silicon Florist prize vault for some fabulous prizes.

Guess as many times as you like. We’ll find something for everyone who hits the jackpot.

Sound good? Good. Get to guessing.
