# Let’s take this offline: Anonymous posting bills in southwest Portland

While [Anonymous](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anonymous_(group) "Anonymous")—a decentralized and leaderless organization whose members work in unison on the Web to act in protest—has been a prevalent presence online, it’s not often that you encounter them in the good ol’ IRL. Well, not without a Guy Fawkes mask at least. Until now.

Take the opportunity to wander around southwest Portland today and you might encounter [paper Anonymous bills posted on telephone poles](http://www.flickr.com/photos/turoczy/5996008552/ "Dear Friend We are Anonymous").

And more were spotted around town. [This one](http://www.flickr.com/photos/lunarobverse/5999252779/) by @lunarobverse.

The posters read:

> Dear Friend,

> We Are Anonymous

> And We Bring You A Message

> Your Government Has Deliberately Failed You

> We Won’t

> Because We Are You

> We Are Many

> And We’ve Had Enough

> [www.whatis-theplan.org](http://www.whatis-theplan.org/ "www.whatis-theplan.org")

> We Are Anonymous

> We Do Not Forgive

> We Do Not Forget

> Expect Us

Now I’m curious… Are folks encountering these around town or elsewhere in the US? Please report in with photos and locations if you are. It would be interesting to see if this is an isolated incident or something widespread.
