# Portland Business Journal “Forty under 40” recognizes tech types

It’s that time of year again. Time for the [Portland Business Journal to recognize its “Forty under 40,”](http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/event/56361 "Portland Business Journal Forty under 40 2012") an award designed to recognize those individuals who have had a massive impact on the Portland area—but who have yet to cross the 40-year mark.

And this year, a number of familiar faces from the Portland tech and startup scene were recognized.
