# Former Huffington Post CTO Paul Berry to keynote Willamette Angel Conference

More and more, Oregon is seeing its share of noteworthy startup speakers making the rounds. Just last week, [Michael Jones](http://twitter.com/mjones "Michael Jones"), former CEO of MySpace (and an Oregon alum) was here in town to speak at the [New Venture Championship](http://nvc.uoregon.edu/live-at-nvc/2012-winners/ "New Venture Championship").

Now, [Paul Berry](http://twitter.com/teamreboot "Paul Berry"), former [CTO of Huffington Post](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-berry "Paul Berry on Huffington Post"), will be in Eugene to keynote the [Willamette Angel Conference](http://www.willametteconference.com/ "Willamette Angel Conference").

> As Chief Technology Officer of Huffington Post, Paul Berry not only managed that traffic, he built the innovative, social components that helped create it. Paul will share his insights as the keynote speaker for the 2012 Willamette Angel Conference (WAC).

> Paul became the chief technology officer of the Huffington Post in 2007. He developed technical strategies that exploited the social, real-time Web as no other journalism business ever had, enabling the companies huge growth. Recently, Paul left Huffington Post to start a “social news” business, RebelMouse, joined by Huffington Post co-founders Ken Lerer and Jonah Peretti. Paul has recently founded SOHO Tech Labs, an incubator in New York “focused on social and viral, experimenting to see what kind of business can really scale.”

If you’re interested in seeing Paul speak, [you should get your tickets now](http://www.eugenechamber.com/events/eventdetail.aspx?EventID=2314242 "Register for WAC"). The event takes place on May 10 in Eugene.
