# Considering WordCamp Portland? Matt Mullenweg, the creator of WordPress, would love to see you there

I’ll have to admit, it kind of snuck up on us. But [WordCamp Portland](http://2012.portland.wordcamp.org/ "WordCamp Portland") is this weekend. And today, something else snuck up on us: the fact that [Matt Mullenweg](http://twitter.com/photomatt "Matt Mullenweg"), the creator of the popular blogging and site management platform, will be [swinging by Portland to chat with attendees](http://2012.portland.wordcamp.org/2012/08/16/one-more-thing/ "One more thing").

> Matt Mullenweg is coming to WordCamp!

> On Saturday, right after lunch, we’ll have a 1-hour Town Hall Q&A with Matt. Come with questions, come to listen, come to have a great time.

If you’ve already registered, I suggest you get those questions ready. What’s that? You haven’t purchased a ticket yet? Well, turn that frown upside down, you’ve still got a chance to get into the event. [Just swing by and register](http://2012.portland.wordcamp.org/tickets/ "Register for WordCamp Portland"). It will only run you 20 clams.

For more information or to grab a ticket, visit [WordCamp Portland](http://2012.portland.wordcamp.org/ "WordCamp Portland") or follow @wcpdx or [\#wcpdx](https://siliconflorist.com/tag/wcpdx/) on Twitter.

*\[Full disclosure: Silicon Florist is a sponsor of WordCamp Portland. As luck would have it, Silicon Florist also runs on WordPress.\]*
