# Startup Curious? Join our friends at GeekWire for Seattle 2.0 Startup Day, September 22

Someone way smarter than me once said, “The journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step.” Well, if you’re thinking about doing a startup but haven’t quite managed to step off that cliff, then your first step might want to be pointed in the direction of [Startup Day](http://www.geekwire.com/events/geekwire-presents-seattle-20-startup-day/#register "Startup Day").

A single day event hosted by our friends to the north at [GeekWire](http://www.geekwire.com/ "GeekWire"), Startup Day is designed to get you up to speed on any number of issues affecting the world of startups:

> Seattle 2.0 Startup Day: Planning to make the startup plunge, or already in the deep end? Look no further than this one-of-a-kind one-day conference to inspire and inform your new life as an entrepreneur. GeekWire is pleased to present the fourth year of this popular favorite, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday Sept. 22 at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Wash, followed by a reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

> The day features a series of entrepreneurial veterans who will share their experiences and key lessons from the world of startups. Featuring keynoter Aaron Levie, Co-Founder and CEO, Box. Stay tuned to GeekWire for additional speakers.

> Expanding the great Startup Day tradition, we’re adding live versions of popular GeekWire features: Elevator Pitch and the Startup Resource Center. In the morning, a handful of lucky entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas to investor judges, get feedback and compete for a chance to present to the entire Startup Day audience. To get in on the Elevator Pitch, register below (no extra charge but space is extremely limited; choose ticket type “entrepreneur + elevator pitch.”).

Sound interesting? Well you better hurry. Early bird pricing ends today. And they’ve also been kind enough to provide a super special discount for Silicon Florist readers. Just use the code: **sfvip**.

And if enough of us sign up, who knows? It might be another opportunity for Geeks on a Train or Geeks on a Plane or maybe even Geeks on a Bolt Bus.
