# 10+ Portland startups you should be following on Github [Updated]

We always like to brag about Portland being the de facto hub of open source. Or maybe that’s just me. I do like to use “de facto hub.”

In any case… every once in awhile, it’s nice to highlight what folks are actually doing in that open sourcey regard. So I was poking around [Github](http://github.com "Github") to see who was doing what and compiled a quick list of startups with open repositories you should peruse.

I mean, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Here are some folks I found:

- [AppFog](https://github.com/appfog "AppFog")
- [Cloudability](https://github.com/cloudability "Cloudability")
- [Code Scouts](https://github.com/code-scouts "Code Scouts")
- [The Clymb](https://github.com/theclymb "The Clymb")
- [Concrete5](https://github.com/concrete5 "Concrete5")
- [Discogs](https://github.com/discogs "Discogs")
- [Geoloqi](https://github.com/geoloqi "Geoloqi")

- [Lytics](https://github.com/lytics "Lytics")
- [Mapbox](https://github.com/mapbox "Mapbox")
- [Meridian](https://github.com/meridianapps "Meridian")
- [New Relic](http://github.com/newrelic "New Relic")
- [OpenSourcery](https://github.com/opensourcery "Open Sourcery")
- [Paydici](https://github.com/paydici "Paydici")
- [Puppet Labs](https://github.com/puppetlabs "Puppet Labs")
- [ShopIgniter](https://github.com/shopigniter "ShopIgniter")

- [Urban Airship](https://github.com/urbanairship "Urban Airship")
- Bonus: [Wieden+Kennedy](https://github.com/wieden-kennedy "Wieden+Kennedy")

And I’m more than happy to add more companies to the list. Just leave a comment. And I’ll revise the post.
